To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Win host' = '%WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\Winhost.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Win sever' = '%WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\Winsever.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recycle Bin\Tailieu.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Tailieu.lnk
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recycle Bin\Ebook.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Ebook.lnk
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Registry Editor (RegEdit)
Creates and executes the following:
- '%WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\winsever.exe'
- '%WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\winhost.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe' +H +S "e:\Tailieu"
- '<SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe' +H +S "e:\Ebook"
- '<SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe' +R +H +S "%WINDIR%\system\*.*" /S /D
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\winhost.exe
- %WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\winsever.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\winsever.exe
- %WINDIR%\system\Drivers\Intel\winhost.exe
