Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Vic' = '"c:\Deshnawy.exe"'
Substitutes the following executable system files:
- <SYSTEM32>\dllcache\taskmgr.exe with <SYSTEM32>\dllcache\taskmgr.exe.new
- <SYSTEM32>\taskmgr.exe with <SYSTEM32>\taskmgr.exe.new
Infects the following executable files:
- <SYSTEM32>\dllcache\taskmgr.exe.new
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\k.bat
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '%WINDIR%\regedit.exe' /s c:\d.reg
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\Autorun.inf
- C:\k.bat
- <Current directory>\Autorun.inf
- C:\d.reg
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\k.bat
- <Drive name for removable media>:\k.bat
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
- <Current directory>\Autorun.inf
- C:\Autorun.inf
Deletes the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\taskmgr.exe
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
- ClassName: 'RegEdit_RegEdit' WindowName: '(null)'
