To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'FiReWall' = '%WINDIR%\svahost.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\svahost.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\svahost.exe
- <SYSTEM32>.ini
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\svahost.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
- <SYSTEM32>.ini
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'na####12.no-ip.biz':6667
UDP:
- DNS ASK na####12.no-ip.biz
- '<Private IP address>':1036
