Technical Information
To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'MyW' = '<SYSTEM32>\MyW.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Marya.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
- Registry Editor (RegEdit)
Creates and executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\MyW.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\rundll32.exe' user32.dll,UpdatePerUserSystemParameters
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\MyW.bmp
- <SYSTEM32>\MyW.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Marya.exe
Deletes the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- %TEMP%\~DF1F4C.tmp
