Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Desktop.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\wmiprvse.exe'
Forces autoplay for removable media.
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\mgrShell.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\wmiprvse.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Desktop.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Network activity:
UDP:
- DNS ASK windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Shell_TrayWnd' WindowName: '(null)'
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
