- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'App.EXEName' = '%WINDIR%\svchost.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Updates.lnk
- <Drive name for removable media>:\update.exe
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%WINDIR%\svchost.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\wscript.exe' "%TEMP%\Melt.vbs"
Terminates or attempts to terminate
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\drwtsn32.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\svchost.exe
- %TEMP%\Melt.vbs
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\update.exe
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\Melt.vbs
- %TEMP%\~DFCF1C.tmp
Deletes itself.
