To ensure autorun and distribution:
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\MP3.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Game.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
- %WINDIR%\explorer.exe <Current directory>
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\Game.exe
- C:\MP3.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\Game.exe
- %WINDIR%\h4ck3d.html
- <SYSTEM32>\Game.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Game.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- %WINDIR%\h4ck3d.html
- %WINDIR%\Game.exe
- C:\Game.exe
Deletes the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\taskmgr.exe
