To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'Explorer.exe %WINDIR%\svchost.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'svchost' = '%WINDIR%\installer\svchost.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\thread.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\Installer\svchost.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\thread.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'wi#####te.bounceme.net':6112
UDP:
- DNS ASK wi#####te.bounceme.net
