- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'exp1orer.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\readme.exe
Malicious functions:
Injects code into
the following system processes:
- %WINDIR%\Explorer.EXE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\exp1orer.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\user.dll
- <SYSTEM32>\exp1orer.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\readme.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\user.dll
