Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Runservices] 'msupdate' = '<SYSTEM32>\msupdate.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'msupdate' = '<SYSTEM32>\msupdate.exe'
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\msupdate.exe <Full path to virus>
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\write.exe
Injects code into
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\write.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\syskeyl.sys
- <SYSTEM32>\syskbl.dll
- <SYSTEM32>\msupdate.exe
Deletes itself.
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'localhost':3113
