To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'exp1orer' = '<SYSTEM32>\exp1orer.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recycled\Setup.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recycled\desktop.ini
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\exp1orer.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\exp1orer.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recycled\desktop.ini
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recycled\Setup.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\exp1orer.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\~DFC5A0.tmp
