To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'LogoVista' = '<SYSTEM32>\Vistalogo[7.0.jpg].exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recyded\CDCNTTk43.jpg.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recyded\Explore.Sys.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recyded\Desktop.ini
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\Vistalogo[7.0.jpg].exe
Modifies settings of Windows Explorer:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] 'NoFolderOptions' = '00000001'
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\Recyded\Desktop.ini
- C:\Recyded\Thai_Nguyen_o2.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- <SYSTEM32>\Vistalogo[7.0.jpg].exe
- <SYSTEM32>\autorun.inf
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\Recyded\Thai_Nguyen_o2.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recyded\CDCNTTk43.jpg.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Recyded\Explore.Sys.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\Vistalogo[7.0.jpg].exe
- <SYSTEM32>\autorun.inf
- C:\autorun.inf
