To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'UserInit' = '<SYSTEM32>\userinit.exe,'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'UIHost' = 'logonui.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'Explorer.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects" /f
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <DRIVERS>\spools.exe
- %HOMEPATH%\cftmon.exe
- %HOMEPATH%\ftp34.dll
- <SYSTEM32>\ftp34.dll
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.exe
