Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows Firewall' = '%APPDATA%\lsass.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows Firewall' = '%APPDATA%\lsass.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] '' = '<Full path to virus>'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\SoftwareUpdate.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%APPDATA%\lsass.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\notepad.exe'
Injects code into
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\notepad.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\lsass.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %APPDATA%\lsass.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\SoftwareUpdate.exe
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
